Tim and Garry just built this brand new facility 64 Mihaere Drive, Palmerston North. Between them they have over 90 years business experience in the Manawatu so Central Self Storage is one of the very few locally owned and operated storage facilities in the Manawatu. Not a faceless out of town operation. We’re members of the Self-Storage Association of Australasia and we have lots of satisfied customers who have seen how we look after our customers and treat them like we would want to be treated.

We are a family owned business. We pride ourselves on providing safe, clean, dry, secure storage that you can drive up to any time you like. We keep prices low because we felt that there were a lot of people who required storage, but didn’t want to pay a fortune for it. 6 Reasons To Choose Central Self Storage

  • We offer a no-frills, down-to-earth, simple storage facility. We cover the basics because that’s all you need for secure, strong, safe self-storage, water-proof, fire-proof, dust-proof and most importantly vermin proof.

  • We have low overheads and if you want to meet us on-site, we will need to make a time to do it. In order to maintain our prices, we don’t sit around all day waiting for the phone to ring! You can call us anytime you like, but we don’t think you should be paying for our time if you don't need us there. If you do need to meet us, we can easily arrange this, but most of the information you need to know is on this website.

  • If you are looking for glitz and glamour, don’t come to us! Our facility is clean, secure and very convenient.You are paying for storage, not good looks… (of course, we are very good looking haha)
  • We only offer two sizes of storage– 10 and 20 foot storage container units. This makes it easy for us to manage and we do not cater for people wanting to store only a very small number of items. Despite this many people find that a larger storage space with us is still cheaper than less space at another facility (people have actually told us that we are nearly half the prices of some other facilities, and offer security, access and service that is just as good or if not better!)

  • The minimum time for storage is one month. We can’t offer these prices for less than that because of the time and effort it takes us to set up a new customer, but we make it worthwhile for you to store for longer! That’s a win for us and a win for you!
